There are many outstanding Clubs and Organizations that host sporting events and manage sports facilities throughout this region.  We want to make sure that our list is comprehensive, and therefore ask any not-for-profit sports organization to email their club information to us.  If you are interested in more visibility on the Sports Commissions Web Site, please contact us.

Description:The Tacoma Chess Club was founded in 1891. In over 110 years the club has moved many times, but its members have continued to meet for the same reasons: camaraderie, competition, and chess. Currently the club meets Wednesdays and Fridays, 7:15PM until closing, in downtown Tacoma. The club also hosts rated tournaments at least bi-monthly, in harmony with other local and regional clubs' tournament schedules.
